What to do

As I mention before my husband and I would like try and start a family in the next year or so. Well in order to get ready for that, I have been shopping around for health insurance that has maternity coverage. Come to find out only three companies offer maternity coverage. And my gyno's office only accepts one of them and it's the most expensive. The best coverage is with Kaiser but I have to use their doctors and what not. I'm not keen on this b/c I have been seeing my doctor for 14 years and I really don't want to start seeing a new one. I don't know what to do. The most logically thing to do is go with Kaiser, because we can't afford the monthly premium for Blue Cross and Blue shield. I hate making decisions like this.

Getting Insurance Is A Pain

I think everyone out there can agree with me that trying to get health insurance is a pain in the ass. Especially if you are tight on money and need a policy with maternity coverage. My hubby and I are in talks to try for a baby in a year. So that means I need to get an insurance policy now b/c there is a 1 year waiting period before you can use your maternity benefits and I most certainly am not paying for my baby out of pocket. But what is one to do when they simply can't afford the policy? I know some may think if you can't afford to pay the monthly insurance premium than how can you afford to have a baby? Well my answer is thousands of people do it every day you just make it work.

Winter time memories

I remember when I was a young girl that when the temperature started to fall outside my dad would always build a fire in the fire place and my mom would get out our electric blanket. Of course my sister and I always argued over who got to use it, but we usually ended up sharing it because it was big enough for the two of us. That electric blanket also came in handy when my dad had heart surgery because ever since then he is always cold due to the blood thinners he has to take. I actually wish I had that blanket right now because it is freezing in my house.

We all know that it is a struggle to maintain a certain body weight and when you decide to try and lose that unwanted weight it seems a littler harder. Well there are diet pills out there like Relacore that claim it can help you burn that access belly fat. I will admit I have never tried it, so I don't know it if really works. But I honestly don't think there is a magic pill out there that can actually make you lost weight. However, I do feel that if you take Relacore and exercise and eat right that it might indeed help you out.

I can't believe how cold it is where I live. The reason I'm a little shocked is because I live in the south. And for as long as I can remember it has been near 80 degrees every Halloween and this Halloween it looks like it is going to be a bit cooler. Hum and they say globaly warming is happening, well it sure doesn't feel like it here in the south where is should be 70 degrees but instead it is in the low 40's.

As I expressed a week or so ago my hubby sent his resume to another company and they told him they would get back to him last week. Well last week came and went and we have yet to hear from this company. I know there could be a number of reasons why they didn't contact him last week. but damn it if you say you are gonna contact somebody than for god sakes contact them when you say you are. So this means we will start next week on pins and needles again in hopes of hearing from this company. I mean my hubby doesn't need this job he has on currently thank god. But this job would be a better job and sadly would require us to move out of state. So the sooner I know if his got the job the better.

Just last week I wrote post about gas prices going down down down. Well I am happy to report that premium here is actually under $2.99 it is $2.89. I just can't believe this. I wonder how low gas prices are really going to go before they start sky rocketing again? Wouldn't it be just totally awesome if gas prices got down to the $1 and some change mark again. I'm sure that would help out so many people right now in this horrible economy.

Babies Babies Everywhere

Okay, well they are not everywhere, but I do know a couple of people who are pregnant right now. I think it is great that people want to have children and all. But what I really hate is the fact that my husband and I do not have any children and people are always asking us when we are gonna have kids. To be frank, I don't know if we every will. It's just not something that is on our minds right now. However, I will admit I would love to decorate a baby's nursery and get cute little baby bedding , furniture, and all the other cute little baby things you get when putting together a nursery. Oh well I'm still young and have time for all of that.

Shoes and more shoes

What woman on this earth does not have a love affair with shoes? I mean a women can never have too many shoes. Even if we will only wear them once in our life we still have to have them. We all strive to have Beautifeel shoes no matter what the cost maybe. However, since I am a very petite women and wear a size 5 MY passion for shoes can be a bit challenging at times. For instance, if I find a shoe I love they simply don't have my size or the color I want is unavailable in my size. So listen up shoe manufacturers don't discriminating against women who have small feet and start making more shoes in a size 5. We have the same right at a size 7 to be fabulous!

My Laptop is a life saver

I absolutely love my laptop. I do not know what I would do without it. I am a freelance writer so I need my laptop or desktop to do my job. Well it's not uncommon for me to be working after my hubby and I have eaten dinner and having my laptop allows me to be in the den or sun room with my hubby while he is watching TV and I can work at the same time. Granted it's not like we a spending quality time together but being in the same room as him calms me and makes me feel like we are kind of spending time together. Plus it's always nice to take a little break and have my hubby rub my shoulders and then get back to it.

gas Prices going going down

I for one could not be happier that gas prices are going down and down and down. I will be doing the happy dance if Premium gets down to $2.99. Currently where I live regular is $2.89 and premium is $3.17. I honestly don't know what people would do if gas got that cheap again. I hope people won't freak out and buy up all the gas and keep it at their houses. I know we had a horrible gas shortage after Hurricane Ike. We did not have gas for nearly a month and if you found a gas station with gas you had to wait hours to fill up. Also when we finally got gas back it was only regular and I need premium, so I drive 65 miles to find gas, isn't that horrible. However, this whole situation has me thinking that we rely way too much on gas and something really needs to be done about it.

Being Left Hanging

I think a lot of you out there will agree with me that it is no fun when you are left hanging about something. The reason I bring this up is my hubby is on a hunt for a new job. I know this isn't really the best time to be looking for another job because of the economy but the industry my hubby is in isn't really getting effected by everything that is going on. Well he submitted his resume to this company and the guy gets back to him and informs him he is very interested in speaking to him but he is on vacation. This always happens to us. Whenever my hubby is looking for a different job or something the person he needs to speak with is either out of town or on vacation. Also another thing that is making this whole thing worse is that we will have to re-locate if he takes this job. So we both have been driving ourselves crazy thinking about having to move, simply because this guy is on vacation. I HATE being left hanging!!!!!

Trophies

I will admit that I have never gotten a trophy for anything in my whole life. Then again I didn't really play any sports when I was younger. I was involved in gymnastics and got a couple of medals but no trophy's. However, my father had several football trophies, baseball trophies and basketball trophies that I would play with and put up in my room just so I could have some to look at. I personally think that parents and people should not care so much about trophies because the last thing you want is for some kid to go rubbing it into someone else's face that they got a trophy and they didn't.

First I want to tell everyone if you have never been to Las Vegas you have got to go. There is something magical about that city that is really indescribable. My hubby and I got married there so Las Vegas will always hold a special place in my heart. We haven't been back since we got married but we are hoping too for our 5 anniversary which will be in a 2 more years. But I'm hoping we can take advantage of one of the many las vegas suites that are available. You would be amazed at how nice these suites are and what all they offer. We haven't stayed in one, but I've looked at several. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we will be able to afford one because they are on the pricey side.

Car Insurance

I will admit that car insurance can get a little out of control and expensive. But for some unknown reason my husband and I have a very low car insurance for driving a Corvette and BMW. All I know is that my hubby has been with his car insurance company since he was 16, so they have given us a really good rate. I for one could not be more thankful because I hear some people tell me their car insurance bill every month is close to what their car payment is. That just blows my mind. I think people shouldn't be able to get away with charging people that much money.

Truck Driving

I honestly do not know if this is a man thing or if it's just my husband. But for some strange reason my husband has always wanted to go to truck driving school, to learn how to drive an 18 wheeler. I for one would absolutely hate it if my hubby decided to become a truck driver because I would never see him. But I guess if he just went to the school it would be ok, but if he did that then he would probably want to get a job as a truck driver. One thing I do know for sure is the way gas prices are and everything that is probably that last job you should go after.

weight loss

One of the biggest things American's struggle with is their weight. There are all sorts of weight loss pills, supplements and programs people but themselves on. But my question is do they really work? You have orovo, Hydroxycut, Alli, Slim Quick and the list goes on from there. I personally don't think these things work. I think they might have some sort of placebo effect on people. I mean if you are taking one of these and are eating right and exercising then yes you may see results but the results are not from the pill it's from you eating right and exercising.

Textbooks

Textbooks are a necessary thing for any child or person attending school or college. But I do have a huge grip about college textbooks. They cost way way way way way too much. I mean you are paying hundreds maybe thousands of dollars a quarter or semester and then you have to purchase books that cost hundreds of dollar too. I think that is simply ridiculous. When I was in college they allowed you to resell your books to the book store when you were done with them. But you know what I ran into, the class I was taking wasn't being offered the next quarter so they wouldn't buy back the book. I think they need to come out with a better system with the college textbooks.

Watches

There was a time in my life when I always had to have a watch so I would know what time it was. I am a very punctual person and time means everything to me. Of course today I don't even wear a watch because I rely on my cellphone for the time. But when I did wear watches they weren't anything special like some sort of Sector watches or a Rolex or anything like that. Just something that was cheap and kept time. After all I hear Rolex's don't really keep good time and that the battery is always going dead in them. So why pay a huge amount for something that isn't going to work half of the time.

Audio Books

If you are like me and don't really like reading but do like to listen to stories than you should probably check out some downloadable audio books. This way you don't have to sit down and read a book and get a crick in your neck. Just pop in the CD in your CD player and sit down in a comfy chair and listen to the book instead of reading it. My mom used to rent audio books when we would go on vacation so we would have something to listen to on the road and something to help pass the time.

A lot of people have acne problems and one of the best acne treatment you can find is by going to a doctor. I have always wanted to have an in home movie theater. Complete with the home theater carpet that has the little LED lights on them so you can see where you are walking and of course a popcorn machine and great surround sound and the big comfy chairs to sit to watch the huge screen. Neither my hubby nor I have passports, which I'm thinking we should probably go ahead and get them. We have been tossing around the idea of going on a cruise next year. So it would probably be best to go a head and apply for one since they require you to have a passport now when you go on a cruise. Also I've heard that there has been a huge back up on passports being delivered so if we are serious about this cruise thing we should probably get on the ball and apply for one.

Acne

Acne has got to be one of the worst things to deal with especially if you have a special occasion coming up and a big zit pops up. Well as you all know there are several different acne treatments out on the market and to be honest I haven't used hardly any of them. What I find that does work is tooth paste. That's right you heard me tooth paste. What I do is put a very very small amount of the white toothpaste on my problem area before I go to bed and when I wake up it will be practically gone. Although I will forewarn you that if you use the tooth paste too much it can cause your skin to be a little discolored when you get older. So I would advise to only use this for the emergency situations.

It seems like everyone around me is pregnant these days. Which is great for them but then they start asking me the age old question when am I going to have children. To be honest my husband and I are very content with the way out life is right now and we just don't have plans for them right now. Well anyways whenever I am invited to a baby shower I like to give unique baby gifts. Usually what I do is fill up a diaper bag full of clothes, bibs, diapers, wash clothes, socks, and anything else that I feel like. The mom's to be always get a kick out of this. So if you are headed to a baby shower and just don't know what to get try the diaper bag idea and fill it with a lot of goodies.

My husband and I are about to embark on completely renovating our mater bathroom. I will be honest I'm trying to put it off as long as possible. See the shower is starting to leak everywhere so we have just got to replace the whole thing. And since we are going to have to do that my hubby thought it would be a good idea to redo the flooring in the bathroom as well as repaint it and replace the cabinet fixtures and probably the faucets too. I think they only thing we are not gonna have to replace and look at are toilets.

Orlando Golf

I'm not a huge golf fan but I do know that there are some great Orlando golf courses. While I was at Disney I learned that some of the more expensive and nicer resorts that are on the Disney property have award winning golf courses. And of course they even have sand pits in the shape of Mickey's ears. There are also several well to do neighborhoods that have great golf courses as well but you have to pay thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars to be a member there.

Just got back from vacation

My hubby and I just got back from a great vacation to Disney World. The weather could have been a little better it rained the whole time we were there. I'm not talking about the 10 minute rain showers that all of a sudden roll in then roll out just as quick and the sun comes out. Nope this rain was hard and lasted for hours it not all day. Well anyways I just love all the digital signage that Disney has everywhere. My favorite is the digital signage that is above every ride informing you of the wait time. I think it is great that almost every theme park has this. Also I learned how to determine the wait time. They give a random person in line this necklace that tracts how long that had stood in line.

Diet Pills

Do diet pills actually work? I think it is safe to say NO, they do no work. My hubby has tried out several different kinds of diet pills and has never had any success with them. However, I do believe it you take some sort of diet pill, eat right, and exercise on a regular basis that it can help stimulate your body to lose weight faster. But if you just take the pill and eat bad and don't exercise it will not work. Also everyone is different so one pill that might work on one person may not work on another.

Children's Books

My deep dark secret has been to be a writer one day and at least have one book published. I've thought about writing a children's book, a novel you name it. Well lets just say its a lot easier said than done. I have sat down I don't know how many times to start writing and I go blank or I just don't like what I write. I've tried doing a children's book and that was even harder because you have to write a child's level. Oh well, I'm not giving up on it, I'll just have to wait until the creative juices streak me.

My hubby and I just recently got a new vacuum cleaner and I will tell you it's hard trying to figure out which one to buy. There are so many different brand names out there like, Sebo vacuums, Dirt Devil, Dyson and the list goes on and on. My only requirement was that it was a bag less and that it wasn't godly expensive. So we ended up settling on a Dirt Devil after almost an hour of looking at all the vacuums that were available. I'm happy to report that my new vacuum works great and I'm happy with it, well expect for the fact it is a little heavy.

TV Mounts

My hubby and I just recently mounted one of our TV's on the wall, and while I like having it off the ground for more space, I don't like having to look up so high to see the TV. I'm hoping I can beg my hubby to bring it down some, but that will probably take some work. Anyways, were are in talks of maybe getting an LCD TV to put in this TV's place because it is a little small, so of course we are going to have to invest in a LCD tv mount. I just hope we get the new TV soon or that my hubby will lower the one we have.

It seems that almost every person in the United States has been a diet at least once in their life. And unfortunately, there isn't a magic pill we can take and the weight will just come right off. However, there are pills out there that you can take, but you have to still diet and exercise. These pills will just give you an extra boost. Of course the big question is what pill should I try. Air Tools

I think one of the best inventions was the air compressor. I always keep an watchful eye on the tire pressure in my car and when my tries or low, it is so much easier to pull out our air tools and pump air in my tire that way. It always comes in handy when my hubby is rotating the tires on his car. So if you do not have one and like to work on your own car, I would highly recommend getting one. It makes things so much easier and you can get the job done in half the time.

I wrote a post not too long ago about life insurance and I wanted to touch upon it again. If you are thinking about getting life insurance make sure you do it the younger you are because life insurance rates are cheaper the younger you are. Oh and don't try and fool the representative that you are a non smoker. They usually do a urine test and if you tell them you don't smoke and they find nicotine in your urine, they will probably not give you any coverage and if they do it will be a small amount. Also if you can only afford a $50,000 policy at first them get it, you can always get another one down the road for a higher amount.

Animals

I have always been an animal lover every since I was a little girl. I've always wanted to have a horse for some unknown reason. I think it might have to do with the fact that they seem so majestic and when you look into their eyes you can see into their soul. But the down side of having a horse as with any animal is the cost of the horse supplies. You have to have a stable for them to stay in a trailer to bring them places, not to mention all the hay and pellets they eat and their medical expenses. But I can always dream can't I?

I think it is safe to say that we all love traveling if it is for a vacation, traveling for work is not as much fun. One thing is for sure when you pack you don't want to bring your big bulky shampoo bottle, big tube of toothpaste, and all that other big toiletries you have. So what I always do is go by Wal-Mart before my trip and stock up on travel supplies there, they have a section that has nothing but travel sized stuff. It's a real life saver so you don't have to worry about having enough room for the toiletries and can fit one more great dress or pair of shoes in your suitcase.

In times like we are in right now with raising gas prices and a decreasing economy it is getting harder and harder for people to save money or even have enough to pay bills and buy food. If you are having problems with your budget maybe you should look into getting some sort of budget software that can show you where you money is going and were you could sacrifice some things for more important things. First of all you should get rid of any extra tv services you have like HBO or any extra services you might have on your cell phone like internet or email. Also stop going to Starbucks or getting breakfast/coffee in the morning and eat and drink coffee from home. Also try carpooling with a co-worker and asking your boss to telecommute maybe 2 days out of the week. You will be surprised at how much extra money these little things will free up.

Checking Accounts

One of the biggest decisions to make when you get married is whether you should have a joint checking account or if you should have a separate checking account. I personally like having a joint checking account because I can monitor everything and plus my hubby isn't a big spender and is responsible when it comes to money. Now if you hubby or wife is not so great with money. I would recommend having separate checking accounts. One being for paying bills and the other to do whatever for. Also keep in mind that all the money you make is both of yours so divided the money up evenly when it comes to spending money.

I don't have any children of my own but I know how expensive it is to have children. I feel very blessed to have an older sister that has a child. So when I decided to have children I can get a lot of hand me downs like baby cribs, car seats, highchairs, strollers, toys, and all that other good stuff. Fixing Up Your Bathroom

One of the cheapest ways to upgrade your bathroom is by getting new bathroom fixtures. Which I personally need to do in my master bathroom, all my fixtures are way out dated. But I have bigger fish to fry in the bathroom before I replace me fixtures. The main thing that I'm concerned about is our shower, it is leaking so we have got to replace our shower. We currently have a tile shower and I'm hoping that we can just by a fiberglass insert and put it in and call it a day, but I have a strong feeling we won't be able to do that.

I think it is safe to say that we all have suffered from acne at one time in our life and we know how horrible it can be to deal with it. There are several products out there to choose from put not every acne treatment will work on everyone. We all are different and have different results. But if you are really having a hard time wilt acne you should visit a doctor and see what he can do to help you. But there is something you may want to try, toothpaste. I know what you are thinking and yes I said toothpaste. Make sure it is the white kind no gel, put a little and I mean a little on the troubled area and rub it in. Although please keep in mind that if you use this method quit frequently you could end up seeing some weird skin damage in the future.

North Padre Island

If you are traveling to Texas you might want to check out North Padre Island rentals and see if they have something that fits your needs. North Padre Island is near the Corpus Christi area in Texas. The island is a 130 miles of gorgeous white sand and of course The Gulf of Mexico. So if you want a change in pass of the beaches you normally go to, you should definitely give this one a try and I bet you will not be disappointed.

I know this might sound completely sad but I do not have a resume. I have been very fortunate enough never to have really worked a real job my whole life. I have had a real job before but it was my first job so I didn't have any other work experience so there wasn't a need for one. Anyways there is good news out there if you are looking for a job in say Los Angeles there is this place where you can post Los Angeles resumes and I bet there are sites like this for almost every state. Which will hopefully help in you landing a job. Then again with the way the job market is right now, you will practically take anything even if its not where you really want to go.

Franchise

Have you every thought about getting involved with a franchise? I've heard that if you get involved with the right one and have the right legal people on your side you can make some good money. Of course you will more than likely have to have really good credit and some sort of way to pay off the loan. And you will probably have to get your hands dirty at some point working behind the counter of your franchise if you get involved with a restaurant franchise. But if you stick it out you will probably make a lot of money.

My husband and I just recently refinanced our house to get a better interest and boy did we ever. The hard part about doing anything with refinancing is finding the right mortgage lenders. I will say that we had a great lender and he made everything painless and simply. My advice to anyone thinking about refinancing is try to asking everyone you know if they can recommend a certain mortgage lender that they had a good experience with. I mean you don't want to get stuck with someone that doesn't really care about your best interest and is just looking at you as another commission check.

Laptops

I absolutely love my laptop well it's my husband and I's but that's besides the point. They are so convenient and not to mention you can take them anywhere. You don't have to be confided to one space like you do when you are using your PC. The one thing I hate is that when my hubby goes out of town he takes it with him and I am forced to use the PC. I would much rather be downstairs sitting on the couch or out in the sunroom doing what I need to do on the computer. Oh well I guess I could look into a laptop rental, but I'm sure the hubby would be totally against that.

For some unknown reason my hubby doesn't want to get term life insurance. I on the other hand am pushing him to. I mean if something were to happen to him I would be in big trouble. I have seen several commercials on TV about different companies and I think I'm gonna look into them myself. After all I can take a Life Insurance Policy out on him without him even being present. Ultimately, I think that's what I'm gonna have to do. The only problem is life insurance can get ral expensive if you want a large amount of money. I guess I'll just do what I always do and research my best options.

Patio urniture

I am super excited about getting new patio furniture for our sunroom. After convincing my hubby that we needed to spruce up our sunroom and get new furniture in there he has finally agreed to it. However, I think we are gonna go the route of wicker furniture than anything. I just like the way that looks and it is easy to keep clean and neat. Plus I want a little couch like thing to lay in, in the sunroom when I'm watching TV in there. I just hope we can get it sooner than later. We have some many other things that are more important on our t do lists that the furniture might not get handled for a while.

My husband can't stand it when I buy these pens that are all fancy like or have characters on them. He says to me, "Why can't you buy a normal pen like bic pens or something." I usually tell him b/c I like different pens that this way it keeps you from using it and loosing it. My husband is the worst when it comes to keeping track of an ink pen. He is always telling me to buy some more every time I go to the store. Siding

I swear it seems that everything is going wrong with my house and is fallen apart or breaking. However, one thing I know I will not have to worry about is our vinyl siding. It was put on a few years ago so we shouldn't have to worry about that. What's on the list to do is painting the house, getting a new roof and possibly a new fence it is starting to fall apart as well. On the inside we need to replace out carpet it is this hideous blue color and we need to install a new shower, out master shower is leaking everywhere. Which will probably turn into replacing some on the boards and whatnot that is under the carpet. Oh and not to mention replacing a window my hubby broke. Well a rock accidentally went through the window, thank god we have double pan glass and it only went through one.

Water Heaters

My husband and I have the unfortunate thing happen to us on Christmas Eve. I walked out into your garage and was standing in a water. Our water heated decided to bust, which as you can imagine was not a very pretty picture. We ended up replacing all of the flooring downstairs that was a stressful and time consuming job. Well anyways we looked at several different kinds of water heaters including the tankless water heaters. I did like the idea of the tankless but it was a little more expensive than the regular one so we went with the old school kind. I'm happy to report that everything has been fixed and we now have a leaky shower that has soaked the floor upstairs. I swear it is never ending.

I always joke with my husband that he has Dory Syndrome. He can't remember anything to save his life. He has absolutely no short term memory at all. Which as you can imagine gets on my last nerve quit often. So since I have a good memory I am forced to remember things for the both of us, which I don't mind. But I really wish my hubby could remember things. Although it does come in handy when we have plans to go somewhere that I don't want to go and he will forget all about it if I don't remind him, which I have taken advantage of a few times. LOL.

My sister and nephew are planning on going on a trip to the Outer Banks this summer. I will admit that I'm a little jealous and wish I could go as well. I have always secretly wanted to be able to skateboard. I don't really know why, but I've always that it was cool. When I was younger I tried my hand at it. I could ride the board for a little bit and that was really about it. But since I don't see myself trying to skateboard any time soon I'll just stick with my high heels and flip flops.

I miss my laptop

My hubby had to go away on business and took our laptopwith him and boy did I missed that thing. I love the convenience of having one, you can be outside, sitting on the couch or laying in the bed and still have access to the internet. What I love doing more than anything is sitting in my sunroom doing the work I need to do on the laptop and having the sun beat down on me and to hear and see all the wild life in my backyard and to watch my pug play in the yard. To me there is nothing better than that.

My husband and I have been reflooring and painting the whole downstairs of our house due to the fact that our water heater busted and damaged everything down there. Well needless to say we are almost done with all the construction. After we completely finish with that we are going to redecorate or sun room. We may put teak outdoor furniture or wicker furniture out there. We haven't made any definite decisions but I think it will probably be the wicker.

Unfortunately, my family has recently had an experience with some drug rehabs. My brother-in-law was using meth and a whole bunch of other drugs. So we looked countless hours for some sort of drug rehab place that would work for him. Well we found one but it cost $30,000 for him to go through the program there. I have a really funny story about a wine rack, well it might not be that funny but I got a laugh from it. My sister and her husband are real big wine drinkers. Well one night we were over there and I saw this thing, which I thought was a coat rack, you know one you hang up on the wall. My sister starts laughing at me and informs me it is a wine rack. Have you ever noticed that when you are married or seeing someone that you learn a lot about there profession? Well in my case I have learned a lot about my hubby's job. I've learned that some cables are called CAT5e and the list could go on forever. I've learned what wire on the power poles are for cable and I've learned a ton of terms that would probably bore you. Anyways I just think it's cool to learn about what your significant other does, it also makes them feel special that you are interested in what they do.

Horrible Accident

One of my hubby's co-workers got into a horrible car accident a week ago. An 18 wheeler just plowed right into him. His car went under the truck hit the guardrail and went back under the truck ans was dragged 150 yards before the driver stopped. Come to find out the truck driver had fallen asleep at the wheel. Well thankfully my hubby's co-worker was not injured. He was bruise up pretty bad but other than that he is fine. Unfortunately, not the same can be said about his blazer it doesn't even look like a car anymore. One thing is for sure that truck driver better get a truck accident lawyer asap.

I do know that when I was driving my VW bug my insurance was more expensive on that than my Corvette is now. Of course I'm with a different insurance company now so maybe that's the reason. Plus Size Vs. Petite

I love fashion very much and try to stay on top of all of the trends but I find it difficult sometimes b/c I am a very petite women, I'm only 5 foot. So I have a horrible time finding pants that actually fit me. There are very few places that carry "short" sizes that actually fit me right and I'm too darn cheap to pay $30 for a pair of jeans and have to pay $15 to $20 to have them hemmed. I can only imagine what it must be like for plus sized women, I'm sure they have the same problem with plus size clothing that I have with regular clothing. Just goes to show you no matter what size you are you can have a hard time finding something that is fashionable that fits you properly.

Is King Size Always Better

I don't know about everyone out there but I absolutely love having a California King size bed but the only gripe I have about it is the bedding aka the sheets and everything are too darn expensive. Or this is what really irritates me I find a sheet set that I love and that my hubby can agree to but once we go to the store they don't have any in our size. I know we could probably order it but that always takes too long. I guess I'll just have to keep washing and rewashing the same set of sheets.

Viva Las Vegas

My husband and I got married in Las Vegas and we have been desperately wanting to go back ever since. Since it is a bit pricey to go there we haven't been back since we go married. We would love to go for our 5 year anniversary, so we've got 2 and a half years to start saving for it. Ok, this might be a weird topic but I felt like writing about it. There are probably hundreds of different types of shower faucets out there but I have to have a shower faucet that is detachable. A year of so ago I tried to get my hubby to by me one of those fancy shower heads that were really big and round. Well I'm glad he didn't give into that b/c I don't know what I would do without my detachable shower head, I absolutely love that thing. It makes cleaning certain parts of the body and cleaning the shower in general so much easier.

Eating Better

Since the second week in January I have had my hubby on a diet. He needs to loose somewhere around 40 pounds. I don't have him on a drastic diet but I am counting calories for him and it has worked so far. I do not know how much weight he has lost but I can tell he has lost weight in his face and his work pants look really baggy on him and I know he has lost an inch or so around his waist. But since I have been watching what he is eating I have been paying attention more to healthy foods and what not. Getting Away Is The Best

My hubby and I were able to escape to a mini vacation last month to Naples FL. That place was so beautiful and peaceful, I told my hubby I wanted to live there. Well I think I have found another place we might want to check out ones of these days. The place I'm referring to is in Missouri and can be found at Branson rentals. They have gorgeous villas, Lodges, condos and even homes that look to die for. My hubby and I have always said we would like to travel out west one day so maybe we can hit this place up if we really decide to do it.

We've Hit A Snag

Ok, if you frequent here you know that my hubby and I are trying to start a business. Well we have hit a snag or two. The company that my hubby will be getting contracts from usually releases them in January, well for some reason that didn't do that this year. It maybe as late as March before the release more work. The other problem is we need start up money. My hubby went to the bank and talk to them about a business loan and they said we had to be in business for 6 months before they would give us a loan. So obviously we can't use that route. So I have been racking my brain trying to think of and find a way to make some start up money and I'm not having any luck at it. But that doesn't mean we can't go through Phase I of the whole operation which is getting a business license, which I've been on my hubby's butt to get one. Hopefully doors will start to open for us soon and if they don't than it's just god's way of telling us the timing isn't right.

Plan A Head

I don't have any children yet, but I would like to some day. One thing I have learned from my sisters have children is you can never have enough diapers and baby wipes. So I thought when I do get pregnant that I would start buying baby wipes and diapers as soon as I know I'm pregnant, because while I'm pregnant it won't be an extra expense to have to worry about. So by the time the baby comes I'll have stock piles of diapers and baby wipes so hopefully I won't have to worry about the extra expense of having to get these things along with all the other things baby needs.

Well I have one of my own, I just do not know how I would go about doing it. I am a very petite woman and wear a size 5 shoe, which if you are in my boat you know how hard it can be to actually find a size 5 in anything. Well I thought about opening a shoe store that carried nothing but size 5 shoes, I'm talking about platform shoes, wedges, high hell, boots, flip flops you name. My only problem is I have no idea how I would go about doing this. I'm open for suggests......
